This web page (at present under construction) tries to provide an independent and evidence-based information about homeopathy and alternative medicines: medical theories that find no support by our present scientific knowledge.
Medical deontology, as coded by the national Boards of Physicians and by international organizations, compels the physician to provide information to citizens and to patients, and a truthful information is essential for the patient to accept the therapeutical and diagnostic interventions:

"Any preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic medical intervention is only to be carried out with the prior, free and informed consent of the person concerned, based on adequate information. ..." (Universal Declaration on Bioetics and Human Rights, UNESCO 2005, art.6)

The information on "alternative" medical practices available on the web or in press is largely provided by the physicians who apply these techniques and is rarely objective, in particular on the relationships between alternative and conventional medicine. Thus, it seemed worthwile to make available some relevant information on the subject.

Your comments and criticism are most welcome, either by e-mail or to my blog. The author of this website is Andrea Bellelli (look at his curriculum vitae).
